01 — ORIGIN

CHONGQING · ADELAIDE · STORY FROM 2000 · FAMILY PRACTICE

Pi Design was co-founded by Jiangshan Long and Jun Yang, continuing a family design practice that began at the turn of the millennium.

Part of its roots are in Mzyellow Design Co, Chongqing, and Orbit Design Group, Australia.

Work spans residential, dining, entertainment, aesthetic, therapeutic, and acoustic projects — interior architecture consulting, project management, and furnishing.

With π as its visual symbol, Pi Design creates infinite possibility within finite conditions.

Pi Design integrates academic, commercial, and lived experience into a complete design process. Through the interaction of context and behaviour, the studio treats awareness of needs as the premise of design.

Pi Design runs its own independent media channel, Refactoring Lab, publishing content with an international perspective and accessible design knowledge.

杨均

JUN YANG · CO-FOUNDER & PROJECT DIRECTOR

With 16 years of hands-on experience in interior project delivery and construction management, Jun Yang has participated in and advanced nearly one hundred projects. She specialises in translating design intent into buildable results, from drawing development and site coordination to detailing, quality control, and final handover.

Earlier work at Mzyellow Design Co. covered projects ranging from tens to thousands of square metres, including villas, apartments, and commercial spaces. From concept and documentation to technical briefings, coordination, progress, quality, and completion, she follows the full delivery process.

She coordinates designers, contractors, and clients, resolves site conditions, and maintains a clear balance between construction detail, design fidelity, and project schedule.
